When I was at college and away from home, a guy named Russ Peterson began to mentor me spiritually. Just so happened, he played guitar and so I started learning too. As soon as I had 4 chords figured out, I started writing music. It was rough going at the beginning, but making Jesus music was so life giving. In the words of the late Rich Mullins, “It’s not that the world needs more worship music, I just can’t help myself.”
After college Tam and I formed a band and traveled under the name Infinite Green. We did concerts anywhere that would have us. These days, on rare occasions, if everyone else calls in sick, I get to grab a guitar and lead some worship. It’s always a privilege.
